Keara & Chris

Traveled to the other side of the state a few weekends ago to photograph Chris and Keara's awesome wedding in Yaak, MT! (I got to take my hubby James with as my assistant too.....win-win!) Let me just tell you about Yaak for a minute. This little gem is about as North West as you can go in Montana and it is green and wild and beautiful. Like everything is Sasquatch themed in that area and I totally get it....there's no way a forest THAT dense doesn't house Big Foot. Anyway, Chris' parents own a slice of gorgeous land up there and that's where the ceremony happened and where we took a lot of our photos.

So, this couple is just wonderful. Chris is pretty much the nicest guy you'll ever meet....plus he's a fireman. Double whammy! He was such a fun groom to work with and he was a great sport when it came to photos. Actually ALL of the guys were awesome when it came to photos. Thanks guys for being rad :)

And Keara is just an awesome lady. I remember the first time I met her. I was at a bridal show and spotted the most adorable bride coming toward our booth....Converse on her feet, Star Wars on her shirt, and a giant smile on her face! She was there with an entourage of lovely laughing ladies and they were having a blast doing all things wedding together. I remember looking at Sherry saying "Okay Sher, I really hope this girl stops at our booth because I want to be her friend and photograph her wedding...." Well, Keara did stop by and I'm so glad that she did! I've had nothing but awesome times with this lovely couple and their wedding was just plain amazing! PS a lot of those lovely laughing ladies from the bridal show were also bridesmaids, so we had a good time...

Keara's details were super creative and fun and gorgeous. Her and Chris did a lot of it themselves and absolutely rocked it! So much gold and teal (swoon!)

Keara's shoe's were adorable (gold sneakers I mean come on!) and her flowers were amazing. They were from a company called Ecoflower, which makes bouquets entirely out of recycled materials. The flowers themselves are carved from wood! These bouquets are seriously gorgeous, and I kind of want some just to put all over my house!

Funny side story....Keara's friend and officiant Natasza was trying to get the sweetheart table all prettied up for signing the marriage license and accidentally started the bridal bouquet on fire! Good thing there were a lot of fire fighters around to save the day! She felt so bad but it was all good....everyone laughed so hard I think their cheeks hurt :)

The reception was at a lodge down the road and it was such a great time. Keara and Chris had a s'more station and more lawn games than I've ever seen at a wedding! Needless to say, everyone was having a blast.

The first dance was super sweet and it's easy to tell from the pictures how much love there is between Keara and Chris. My husband caught this photo of them and I just can't get over it!

There was so much happiness during the parent dance too! Keara and her Dad danced at the same time as Chris and his mom and it was just too sweet. These two are blessed with some pretty amazing family! PS I think this might be my new favorite picture. Ever.

The rest of the night was filled with fun and toasts and dancing and singing! Keara and Chris used an axe to cut their cake, the groomsmen serenaded Chris with a love song, and someone MAY have hopped behind the DJ table to lay down some sweet rhymes on the microphone. That's all better explained with the photos though so I'll just leave it at that for now :)

Congrats to Keara and Chris! Such a great day and so many amazing moments to capture! I'm so happy I got to be a part of all that happiness!
